MCTs and Omega-7

The MCTs from PalmFreeMCT™ oil in Ketosene® Green boost ketone production and help burn visceral fat. Studies have shown that palmitoleic acid, an omega-7, helps promote satiety to make this is winning combination. The omega-7 is delivered by Keto favorites as macadamia and avocado.

The impact of Omega-7 on satiety

The actual studies on Omega-7 intake in human are limited, but if we turn our attention to animal studies some spectacular results have been shown. After a 24h fast rats were given either 1) nothing 2) oleic acid (like olive oil) 3) Palmitoleic acid, after which they could freely eat as much as they wanted. Then researchers monitored the food intake per group in the first hour (see graph) after the fasting & treatment. The Omega-7 REDUCED the free food intake by a factor two! To find out why these same researchers looked into the satiety hormone cholecystokinin (CCK) which was doubled in the Omega-7 group.
